Hi there!
It's a greyish-sky monday, time flies and we're f****n busy down here.
But good news come over...
We finished our recording and mixing proccess. FU***N FINALLY! :D
Mastering is done too, by mr. Marcos Abreu (www.myspace.com/marcos_abreu). After mixing and mastering, the songs come roaring, really fat out of speakers. We are more than proud of the final result, which could not be done without the efforts of mr. Bruno Alves Pires (recording / mixing engineer and producer).
In about 30 days the pressing company will be delivering the discs, so stay tuned...

*We are looking for a tour manager...if you are or know one, we'll be pleased if you contact.

Cheers!
L.

Salve!
Terminamos as gravações e mixagens...FINALMENTE, PO**A! :D

Hi there!
Yesterday, gone drummin' on studio again. 3 tracks were put down at the UCPEL sound labs (Pelotas), with the fine (and silent!lol!) production of mr. Bruno "Pee Wee" Pires.
The sound is round and powerful, just as I like it. Wait and see...
More coming this week. Oh, btw, only 3 tracks remain to finish our debut. Hope we do it this weekend.

Cheers!

Hi there everyone!
Another turn of the screw, and we are finally on our way to finish the job. Last saturday we did the last vocals and the percussion / effects parts, and started some mixing. And the next sunday we'll be mixing down the lasting tracks, so we hope to have the audio good to go on the same day.
Besides, next week we'll be going on studio again, this time to record 3 songs that will be Bruno Pires's work for concluding his degree in Audio & Music Production. Today, after rehearsal, we make the leading / guide tracks, so the drums go to tape about wed or thu.
Stay tuned! Many good things rolling out.

Cheers!

About the lyrics (III)

Hi there!
First of all, I'd like to apologize for the long time since I've last posted something here. Last months I've been busier than ever, tho it's really no excuse...whatever, despite all odds, here it is.

###

(Then) Tell Me

For how long can we stay afar from this vice?
How much will you say despite your advice?
I wonder if you ever really stood together
All became back to start - Are you sure, are we apart?

Oh is it really needed if you ask for more and more?
C'mon, has it ever ended till you come back thru the door?

Then tell me baby, tell me why did you keep it quiet?
Speak of what I cannot see never hide what's on your mind...
Then tell me, tell me twice why did you keep it quiet?
Speak of what I cannot sense never hide what do you mind...

Did our heat turn into warm - not sure, on what I've heard
Keep it, for you have my word, baby, I shall make you no harm
As a pair of rails we follow side by side, this nasty race
Shall we split, thorn and hollow, do we keep this crazy dance?

Yeah you must reconsider from the deep o' the soul
Gotta cry the driest tears that were never shed before
Oh is it really needed if you ask for more and more?
C'mon, has it ever ended till you come back thru the door?

Then tell me baby, tell me why did you keep it quiet?
Speak of what I cannot see, never hide what's on your mind
Then tell me, tell me twice why did you keep it quiet?
Speak of what I cannot sense never hide what do you mind

######

I guess this lyrics are self-explaining. One's despair on the silence of his/her beloved grasps the heart,it chokes a love slowly, it brings uncertainty, fears...so you must ever speak your mind to whom do you love.

Cheers!

Touch

Hey! Long time no posting here. This one is to present you people one of our new songs. It is called Touch and this version is just a rough mixdown, no masterization. There are some issues to solve, but I can assure you that we are pretty close to a final version and that we are happy with this work. Also, we would like to thank Mr. Bruno Pires for all the work so far.

To listen to the song just click the link below

Touch (rough mix - no master) - LOUD! by LOUD

Hi there!
Due to some personal issues, the work is going a little slower than we predicted. But it still goes on. Guitars and vocals are being recorded, and then I'll record the percussion parts to finish all the stuff to tape, and go to mix.
Besides, we are already composing some stuff for the next record. We will look for some new approaches for it, concerning to record and produce, and we'll try to keep the "live" punch we heard on the session's songs.
ASAP I'll post some FULL tracks - rehearsal versions of the album's songs. Wait and see...

Loudest cheers!

Hi there!
Busy week, the last one. We kept the tape rolling at studio, recording guitars and vocals. And in beetween, we rehearsed two times for the last night's gig. Wow...! (More about the recordings at the week to come).
Apart the logistics ever present in any gig we make, we took the stage really keen for action. Yes, it was about 5 am when the guitar roared and the show begun, but we were in such a mood for playing that we felt anything but tired. We kept the entire set kickin' as much as we could. As a result, I've hurt my right foot (my 3rd finger lost the skin at the tip kicking the pedal, ouch!) and slept no more than 3 straight hours today, but I've cleansed my soul, thisrty for hitting the stage and drum like hell.
I'd like to thank all the audience (patience!), the sound crew (for takin' it when the havoc broke at the drum mikes! :D ) and, specially, mr. Alisson "Dark Tears", the gig manager who did accomplish everything and more to make it real. Hope to replay soon... |,,|

Loudest cheers!

Good morning folks! I know that we normally make our posts here in English. But since it is 6:30 a.m. and I'm quite happy with the results of our first concert in this new moment, I'm going to make a brief comment on the show and thank our frinds in Portuguese. For those who are used to read in English here, I'm sorry. I promisse that I will comment on the show, but not right now. In general terms, it was great.

Everything
Hot to Thrill
Can't Kill My Rock and Roll
She's No Lady
Make me Wonder
(Then) Tell Me
Freezing Rain
Just Loving You
Touch
The Blues
Distance and Silence
Bluegrass

Eu vi a luz! Valeu, pessoal.

Régis Garcia.

About the Lyrics... (II)

Hi there!

Let's break the silence once more.
Another piece of our work. It's called Touch and we can divide into 3 sections: an intro / ballad part, a raging solo and a smooth bluesy diminuendo with solo and vocals. Despite it's one song, we originally did set the three pieces on separate moments and splitted them toghether in the last rehearsal before recordings started. The first two inspired by hard rock ballads 80's style, and the third we just let flow around a kind-of-Floydy idea. Actually it's a song that we break the barrier of a hammering hard-rock music (which was our main character during the early works) and turn our music playing towards a more dinamic-handling feel. All I can say is I never played so SOFTLY before ;)

Let's quit the chatter...here are the lyrics.

Touch

I’ll spare you from what I feel inside
Leave me now, please, don’t you look behind
Feel free to seek what you cannot find
Be here back soon, so I can hold you tight

Oh, and I feel so much
Oh, and I feel your touch

So strange the days I don’t hear your voice
So loud the silence we made of our desire
When lack of words becomes a named choice
It’s not true refusal, not your nor mine

I can’t save you from what I feel inside
You left in a hurry, you did not mind
Sought after something unwishful to find
And here you are, then kiss me, hold me tight

.....................................................................................

What can I say?
Sometimes people see someone a loved one leaving. Worse than: leaving still loving. The reasons may vary...career, studies, family moving. But one thing remains unmoved, undisputed: the loving caress, the loved one's touch.
It's up to you to seek the loved one that left. ;) As Dee Snider once said, " The beauty of literature, poetry, and music is that they leave room for the audience to put its own imagination, experiences, and dreams into the words."

Hope to see you soon ;)

Cheers!

Studio spots

Hi there!
As far as I know, Mr. Mariano is still working on his guitar tracks. All I can say is that the whole thing is sounding really big. If you keep attained to "modern" musical standards concerning the sound, maybe you'll have odds listening to a lively, non-gated-nor-compressed sound. We stablished a goal to produce this album: to record the most natural sound possible and keep it through the whole proccess, from sessions to mastering. And I'm glad to know we're achieving this.

Cheers!

Hi there!
Mr Garcia is still taking a breath after his recording session. Course, we are keen to know his point of view about recording for LOUD!'s debut album.
Yesterday, another busy day. Garcia, myself and Bruno Mariano gathered together to begin recording the guitars for the album. Along with us, mr Bruno "Pee Wee" Pires, who's actually producing a large part of this stuff. We started setting up the gear about 4:00 pm and we began the very recording some 2 hours later, going up to midnite. 3 down, 10 to go. =]
Here's what I heard: the guitar is sounding amazing. It's crisp and clear, punchy and nervous. Mr. Mariano knows the drill and he's putting superb tracks on the tape. Naturally I will ask him to post some of his impressions too, and a video asap.
Stay tuned for more rock and roll!
Cheers!

Hi there!
It's a hot-like-hell weekend. The sun lashes with flaming heat and LOUD is on its way recording.
Saturday, mr. Garcia put the bass tracks on tape. I was attendig there and all I can say is that he sounded amazing. The bass lines fitted into drum tracks, but did not vanished in a mist of low frequencies. It's sounding firm, groovy, melodic. Great stuff, believe me.
Down here, a video I picked with my camera (sorry, it's an oldie, it has no mike :( ). Soon mr. Garcia will post some of his impressions.
Cheers!

Wow! I know it sounds amazing, but this is the first post here for the year of 2010. It's been a long time since we last shared our hopes, dreams, and expectations to the crowd. Yeah, we're still alive. We've been working on our new and first album. And it would be impossible to go through without technical problems. But no worries right now. We went on a meeting to decide some details and we do have all our ideas down on the paper. I know we will finish this album as soon as possible. For those that were looking for some new stuff, down here it's possible to see some of Mr. Mello's drum session videos. Hope you like it a bunch. See you soon. Cheers!

R. Garcia.
